The Basic Sciences Unit at TED University, which is responsible for the core curriculum of the university, invites applicants for part-time lecturer positions on a renewable term, effective from September 23, 2019. The appointees will be responsible for teaching survey courses on World Literature and World History, two of the common core courses taught at TED University.

TED University (TEDU) is a young, dynamic university located in the heart of the city of Ankara, Turkey. It was founded in 2012 by the Turkish Education Association (TED), which has been pioneering the development of education in Turkey since 1928. With an emphasis on liberal education, TEDU aims to create graduates who are creative, critical-minded, self-confident, and well-rounded. The university has five faculties: Architecture, Arts and Sciences, Economics and Administrative Sciences,Education, and Engineering, with English being the medium of instruction in all faculties. The common core courses at TED University are taught with the basic principles of liberal education in mind and in English, and different sections of the same course followa common curriculum.

Interested candidates must hold an MA and/or PhD in any area of literary studies in English (for the World Literature course) or in historical studies (for the World History course) at the time of appointment. Teaching experience in a similar subject is preferred. Candidates should submit a CV and ateaching statement by the deadline mentioned below. After the preliminary vetting process, successful candidates will be expected and invited to give an example class on their subject.
